Our Policies

Please ensure you have read all the relevant policies and guidelines under each of the categories below.

Joan Montgomery Aquatic Precinct Terms of Use

Supervision Policy

All children swimming in the Learn to Swim Program/Holiday Program must be actively supervised, at all times, by a parent or carer sixteen years or older.

 

It is the parent/carer's responsibility to accompany their child to the bathroom during a lesson.

Health Policy

1. Do not attend swimming if you have flu like symptoms or test positive to COVID 19 / RSV / Influenza A&B

​

2. Do not swim if you have had diarrhoea/gastroenteritis symptoms in the past 14 days.

​

3. Papilloma/molluscum/warts or other infectious skin conditions must be treated and covered prior to pool entry.​

 

4. Use the toilet and shower before using the swimming pool.

 

5. Swimming caps must be worn in the water at all times.

 

6. Healthy Swimming Practices must be adopted by all centre users.

  • Shower and wash with soap before you enter the water.

  • Toilet children before their lesson.

  • Change nappies in nappy-changing areas, not by the poolside.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly after going to the toilet or handling nappies.

  • Children who have not been toilet trained should wear tight-fitting waterproof nappies.​

  • Avoid swallowing water.

Change Room Policy

At no time are persons 5 years and over, permitted to enter the change room of the opposite gender.Carers wishing to change or dress their children over the age of 5 years and of the opposite gender may use the family change rooms at the entrance to the LTS change village.

Access and Parking Arrangements

The JMC Car Park has limited parking for patrons of the Aquatic Programs. Leave early and plan ahead.

 

Parking Options:

JMC Car Park: Gate 2 Burwood Hwy

The DROP OFF ZONE is for squad athletes and parents not looking for a park. Do not park in the drop off zone at any time.

Families may use this to drop off LTS students who are accompanied by a carer but must move on immediately.If there are no spaces in the JMC move on and out of the centre sourcing alternative parking in the senior school (Gate 6) or Parer Street or Gate 1(old aquatic centre).

 

Reminder: Parents are only permitted to use the JMC Car Park for the purposes of the usage of the Aquatics Program. This Car Park is not to be used for pick up and drop off to the Senior School, Junior School or Early Learning Centre.

 

The JMC Car Park will be available as follows:

1. Monday to Friday Mornings - Opens 4:45am Closes 7:45am

2. Monday to Thursday afternoon - Opens 3:30pm Closes 7:45pm

3. Friday Afternoon - Closes 8:15pm

4. Saturday - Opens 5:45am Closes 12:30pm

5. Sunday - The car park will remain closed

 

 

Senior School Car Park: Gate 6 Parer Street

Gate 6 has boom gates that are in operation.

Parents will not be permitted to enter Gate 6 from 2:30-3:45pm. The Boom gates will restrict entry.

 

Bus Entry Boom Gate: Gate 1 Burwood Hwy

Car Parking alongside of the old aquatic centre and oval will be permitted during the following times: Boom Gate 1 will open

1. Monday to Friday afternoon - Opens 4:15pm Closes 6:30pm

2. Saturday - Opens 7:30am Closes 12:00pm

3. Sunday - The car park will remain closed

 

Do not walk through the JMC carpark.

Visual Recording Equipment

Any item capable of recording visually must not be used in the change room. This includes mobile phones.

 

Visual recording equipment must not be used in the Aquatic Centre without permission from the Centre Manager.
